Julia Deitchman, BS, CAP, IC-ADC, MS*
Julia is accepting new clients for Individual and Couples Counseling!
Allow us to introduce you to our counselor, Julia!
Julia was drawn to the counseling field through both lived experience and a deep commitment to helping others heal, especially those who spend their lives caring for others. With over 17 years of experience in mental health and substance use treatment, she brings a grounded, compassionate approach that blends clinical expertise with real-world understanding.
Julia specializes in working with medical professionals and other high-responsibility helpers who are navigating burnout, emotional exhaustion, identity shifts, and the pressure to always “hold it together.” Her work is guided by a simple but powerful belief: who helps the helpers? She understands firsthand how isolating it can feel to be the one others rely on, and how difficult it can be to ask for support when you’re used to being the strong one.
Her clinical focus includes trauma recovery, professional burnout, and life transitions. She helps clients untangle the impact of chronic stress, perfectionism, and high expectations, while rebuilding a sense of balance, clarity, and self-trust. Julia also works with couples using Gottman-informed approaches to strengthen communication, deepen connection, and navigate conflict in healthier, more intentional ways.
At the core of Julia’s work is her guiding philosophy: meet people where they are, but don’t leave them there. She creates a supportive, nonjudgmental space while gently challenging clients to grow, gain insight, and move toward meaningful, lasting change both personally and professionally.
