I’m Mackensie, though most people call me Kensie or Kens. I am a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with experience in the mental health field since 2021.
I bring both professional training and personal experience to my work, which helps me approach counseling with empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. I understand that healing can be complicated, and asking for help is not always easy.
My approach is integrative and person centered, incorporating elements of Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and trauma informed care. I focus on creating a supportive space where clients feel heard and understood while building meaningful goals and useful tools.
I am passionate about helping people work through anxiety, trauma, depression, and life transitions. I am mindful of how early experiences can show up in the ways we think, feel, and relate to others today. I work at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for each person, and I bring kindness and fairness into my work to help clients feel supported and empowered.
